| New Years Resolution
(Make A Difference)
Another year gone by
our nation a day older
I continue to ask, why
have people become colder
bombs light up the sky
as hatred becomes bolder
we've lost touch with GOD
cept in "our" time of need
farmers no longer sod
to harvest, to feed
everyone has an Ipod
keeping up with material greed
violence in the schools
how can the children learn
being classified fools
what living can they earn
can't afford the tools
no more books to burn
nursing homes are packed
with unwanted parents
social security attacked
by incoming presidents
odds continue to be stacked
leaving society incensed
what shall we do
is there a solution
I'm starting something new
getting rid of pollution
caring more about you
and keeping this resolution.....

i wonder will i at least live for a while,
i mean i cant resist death its all futile,
but rather die young kinda guns ablazin lifestyle,
than go out bored old and senile,
so in my coffin i can at least smile,
heaven may not want me but hell will be scared in the meanwhile |
